Roblox Jr (Ages 7 – 9)

Course Details

Course Content:

Introduction to Roblox, Building 3D virtual world with no coding      

  1. Create a 3D Parthenan Temple
  2. Create a 3D Geyser Environment
  3. Create a 3D Big Ben Clocktower
  4. Create 3D Pyramids of Giza

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Manipulate 3D parts to create historical and natural landmarks.
  2. Design and playtest 3D environment focusing on a fun user experience.
  3. Test, evaluate, and redesign to create a bug-free and visually pleasing experience.
  4. Use module events to build a real-time multiplayer environment

Course Date:

8 classes, 1 hour / class

Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday (3 classes per week)

Course Time:

1) 2:00 – 3:00 pm
2) 3:00 – 4:00 pm
3) 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Materials Needed

1. Windows or Mac Computer with Roblox Studio installed
2. 2 button mouse with scroll-wheel
3. Paper and pencil per student
Roblox (Ages 9 – 12)

Course Details

Course Content:

  • Foundation: Learn to use Roblox Studio tools, create and code game.
  • Stage 1: Students learn to build games from Roblox studio template.
  • Stage 2: Students create own scenes, characters and assets in “Adventure game”.
  • (EXTENSION): Final project preparation

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Manipulate 3D parts to create an obstacle course.
  2. Design and playtest a game, focusing on a fun user experience.
  3. Create scripts using variables and loops for in-game visual effects.
  4. Test, evaluate, and redesign to create a bug-free and visually pleasing game.
  5. Use module scripts and events to build a real-time multiplayer game

Unity Beginner’s Track (Ages 11 – 15)

Course Details

Course Content:

  • Stage 1 – Introduction to Unity platform
  • Stage 2 – Learn to create games following Unity Game Project Templates

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify and use essential features of the Unity Editor
  • Create, modify and manage scenes in games
  • Navigate in 3D space in the to build engagement
  • Implement simple code to manipulate game objects
  • Build test and prototype different game styles

Unity Advanced Learning Path (150 hrs/ 2 year program)

Certificates would be issued to students for those who completed the courses with no less than 80% attendance.

If Codabot needs to cancel: 

  1. If due to typhoon 8, black and red rainstorm warning or other personal reasons that your child cannot attend class, there will be no refund or make up class for that day. 
  2. Codabot reserves the right to suspend/cancel the placement if the child’s needs cannot be supported within the setting in the school environment. 

If parent needs to cancel:  

  1. The request for cancellation must be submitted to Codabot in writing at least one week before class commence for refund, after which, the paid course fee is not refundable or transferrable.
